Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role is to advise on and implement effective ways to raise funds for the charity, including the development of supporters, the organisation of fundraising events and activities, applications for grants, corporate funding and donors; ways to market the charity including an understanding of our key subscribers, creating a compelling message, identifying and utilising appropriate marketing channels; proactively raising the profile of the charity via local and national media and digital channels and dealing with media issues.

Marketing and
Communications
To provide marketing expertise,
guidance and support the implementation of the marketing strategy.
To proactively contribute to the delivery of
Murray Halls marketing and communications strategies to support agreed
business objectives i.e. consistent branding protocol across the organisation.
Champion the Murray Hall brand externally,
growing awareness and understanding among key audiences.
Manage the creation and delivery of content
- digital and print - to promote the charitys work.
Provide advice and practical support across
the organisation (in particular the Executive Management Team, Board of Trustees,
Business Development, Operations and Service teams), facilitating use of
marketing and communications to achieve business objectives.
Maintain and develop the Murray Hall
website, ensuring all content is fully optimised for search engine performance
and meets accessibility guidelines.
Develop, implement and evaluate paid and
earned activities on social media platforms to increase Murray Halls brand
presence and audience engagement
Under the direction of the Business
Development Manager, play an active role in managing Murray Halls reputational
risk, pro-actively and reactively, including crisis management.
Oversee the work of marketing,
communications and fundraising volunteers.
Develop and co-ordinate a contact programme
of key stakeholders, including local and national media, with a focus on
building and maximising relationships that are beneficial to the charity.
Fundraising
Under
the direction of the Business Development Manager, implement the Fundraising
Strategy and to understand, review and report on the organisations current
level of activity, capacity and process.
To lead
on developing and implementing a programme of fundraising priorities to
generate significant new income streams.
To
develop alliances with potential corporate and individual donors.
Keep up
to date with charity legislation and guidance relating to fundraising
activities and to conduct all activities in accordance with statutory
requirements and good practice.
Ensure
effective risk management of all fundraising events and activities.
Identify,
develop and implement new fundraising ideas and to support colleagues with
fundraising efforts.
Effectively
develop and manage any nominated budgets, including the monitoring of income
targets and expenditure for each activity.
