Main duties of the job

  • We are 2 ladies that just love being girlie we are 59 and 62 years old though we are very different we muddle along quite well.
  • We are both mobile but can sometimes need a little physical assistance when out and about. We have different challenges in our lives which include hearing impairment, autism, learning disabilities and bipolar.
  • We have a great established staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting us both. They know us well and most have been with us for over 8years.
What is important to us?
  • We love being out and about on the days we have 1-1hours.
  • We can be found either in Sefton park or one of the local eateries enjoying lunch or getting lots of fresh air along the prom. We would love to try a Spa!
  • We both love doing girlie things whilst one of us loves makeup both of us enjoy having our nails done and a foot spa, watching reality TV shows or crafting/baking.
  • we are fun, friendly and considerate with a shared love of the girlie life.
  • We would love spending time with those that are happy, outgoing, helpful and considerate of others personal space. Oh and the love of all things sparkly would be great!
Other Important Information?
  • There is always at least 2 colleagues on shift during the day and 1 colleague on a sleep - in night.
  • We like our staff to work Long Days Sleep 09.00 a.m. through to 09.00a.m. the following day (this of course includes the sleep-in from 23.00 till 07.00 a.m., other shifts are Long Day 08.00 a.m. till 20.00 pm.

Providing safe and positive support in all aspects of daily living, ensuring physical, emotional and social needs are met in accordance with their care and support plans so people dare to reach their goals and aspirations to lead rich and fulfilled lives.

Key Accountabilities

1. Identify, escalate, and contribute to the management of any risks that could affect customer service or safety, or the effectiveness, quality, efficiency and compliance of an individual's activities, to ensure that the best interests of the people we support are always maintained.

2. To ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of self, colleagues, and people supported by following the appropriate policies and procedures and escalating any concerns, complaints or poor practice. 3. To provide the best care and support possible, in accordance with a persons support needs and create personalised support plans using specialist knowledge, gaining input from other care professionals, so that peoples holistic needs are supported.

4. Delivering care and support in line with co-produced plans, and establishing meaningful relationships with the people we support and their loved ones, to truly understand their needs, and ensure they feel engaged, involved and fulfilled.

5. Promoting operational excellence and person centred care for self and colleagues. Motivating and providing peer support to colleagues as required.

6. Highlighting own learning and performance needs, always striving to be the best they can be, and encouraging those around them to do the same.
