Main duties of the job

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will lead the planning, development, and evaluation of physiotherapy services, ensuring high standards of assessment, treatment planning, and documentation. You will manage a diverse caseload, supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries, complex disabilities, and general rehabilitation, using evidence-based, person-centred approaches. Providing expert advice to the care team, MDT, and external agencies, you will play a key role in pre-admission assessments and service development.

You will supervise junior physiotherapists and therapy assistants, ensuring effective delegation and collaboration within the team to promote independence in rehabilitation. Additionally, you will maintain comprehensive patient records, assess and adjust treatment plans as required, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and safety guidelines.

As a role model, you will participate in training, provide clinical supervision, and contribute to service improvement through audits and evidence-based practices. You will also support the rehabilitation process with specialised neurorehabilitation and long-term disability management, including water-based therapies. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high standards of clinical care, driving policy improvements, and supporting the professional development of your team.
