CHD Rehabilitation services are seeking a Therapy Team Lead Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist for our Neurorehabilitation Centre based in Bagshot, Surrey.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of therapy staff and develop your skills in neuro rehabilitation. You will lead a team inclusive of physiotherapists, OT, speech and language therapist, Clinical Psychologist, specialist nurses and rehabilitation assistants working alongside the Registered Manager and Clinical Head of Rehab Services to provide exceptional care and rehabilitation.
At CHD we deliver comprehensive, neurological rehabilitation packages which include complex nursing care, intensive therapy packages, long term disability management and slow-stream rehabilitation. This is an opportunity to work with a diverse and complex caseload, which include individuals with prolonged disorders of consciousness, traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and progressive neurological conditions.
The post holder will have specialist knowledge in Neurorehab in their profession and manage the therapy team on a day to day basis.
You will have an opportunity to participate in regular in-service training, with access to specialist courses to meet your personal development plan. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills through our internal leadership course. You will be supervised and supported in this role by the Clinical Head of Rehab Services.
Main duties of the job
Be responsible for the day to day management of the rehabilitation
therapy team
Supervise junior staff members of all professions
Deputise for the Clinical Head of Rehab Services in times of
absence
To support the Registered manager as required and/or
in absence of Clinical Lead nurse
To coordinate and lead therapy goal setting
meetings, MDT meetings and other such required meetings
To continue to marketing of the service and
represent CHD Living at external events and with stake holders
Contribute towards and lead the development of the
Neuro-rehab study days and provide other specialist training to both
therapists, members of the care team and other professionals as required.
To develop and maintain OT/PT services leading on planning,
development and evaluation
To assess and treat own caseload of people using our services and
to maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner
To complete neuro-rehabilitation pre-admission assessments
alongside the multidisciplinary team
To be professionally responsible and accountable for all aspects of
own work, including the management of people using our services
