We are currently seeking a Care Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, supporting a male client with Learning disabilities, PICA and epilepsy, based in London, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1.
As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £18 per hour. A driver is required for this role.
This position involves an average of 13.5-17 hours per week depending upon our client's term time and non term-time routines, including days and waking nights. Our client's shift patterns are:
Term time
Monday to Friday – 7am – 9am
Monday to Friday – 3pm – 8pm
Saturdays – 9am – 4pm
Sundays – 8am – 6pm
Monday to Friday – waking nights 8am – 7/8am
Non-term time
Sunday to Thursday – 8am – 5pm
Monday to Friday – waking nights 8am – 7/8am

Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant
Supporting our client with their personal care needs
Assisting our client in their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible
Providing companionship and emotional support
Helping with household tasks and meal preparation
Supporting our client to attend appointments and community activities
Administering medication when required
Ensuring that our client's safety is maintained at all time in relation to his diagnosed PICA and Epilepsy
To be successful as a Care Support Assistant, you’ll need:
A caring and empathetic nature
Good communication skills
A genuine desire to support others
Basic IT and record-keeping skills
A full UK driving licence is essential
Previous experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided
