We are currently seeking a Care Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, supporting three male clients with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, who live together based in Ellesmere Port, CH65.

As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of  £12.75 per hour for waking hours and £87.20 per 10 hour sleeping night.

This position involves between 24 -28 hours per week on the following rota shift pattern:

Week one – 2 x shifts starting at 6pm and finishing at 8am (10 hour sleeping night included in these hours)

Week two – 1 x 24 hour shift starting at 8am and finishing at 8am (10 hour sleeping night included in these hours)

Main duties of the job

 

Assisting clients in their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible

Providing companionship and emotional support

Helping with household tasks and meal preparation

Supporting clients to attend appointments and community activities

Administering medication when required

Prompting with personal care and hygeine 

Supporting clients to budget their finances and complete shopping tasks

What We’re Looking For

To be successful as a Care Support Assistant, you’ll need:

A caring and empathetic nature

Good communication skills

A genuine desire to support others

Basic IT and record-keeping skills

A full UK driving licence is advantageous

Previous experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, with documentation valid for at least 12 months, to ensure continuity of care for the person we support.
