We are currently seeking a Care Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, supporting a client with Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy based in South West London.
Main duties of the job
As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £16.37 for day shifts and £17.07 for waking night shifts.
This position involves variable part-time hours per week and hours change dependent upon term time and non-term time. We are recruiting for a small team of 5 part-time Care Support Assistants and 1 bank Care Support Assistant to share the below shift patterns:
Term time
Monday to Thursday – 4.30pm until 10pm
Saturdays - 10am until 5pm
Sunday to Thursday – 10pm until 8am (waking nights)
Non-term time
Monday to Saturday – 10am until 5pm
Sunday to Thursday – 10pm until 8am (waking nights)
Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant
Assisting our client to meet their personal care and toileting needs
Assisting our client with their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible
Providing companionship and emotional support
Helping with household tasks and meal preparation
Supporting our client to attend appointments and community activities
Administering medication when required
