We are looking for a Care Support Worker to join our team to support our client based London with his complex health needs
This position is a part-time role consisting of Days and Waking night shifts
You will be paid £16.37 for day shifts and £17.07 per hour for waking night shifts after training is completed (provided during recruitment)
Main duties of the job
We are recruiting for a Care Support Assistant to support a client with Spinal Muscular Atrophy
The client will require support both at home and at university during term time (SW7 area)
Support will include:
Support to access the community to meet friends and do activties that he enjoys
Support with his complex health needs whilst attending university
Complex needs include:
Moving & handling
Regular repositioning
Personal care
Eating & drinking – full support to prepare, eat & drink
Ventilation overnight and when unwell
Saturation monitoring (oxygen saturations, heart rate & temperature)
Medication administration
Shift patterns may vary but will include:
7.30am – 3.30pm
3.30pm – 9.30pm
9.30pm – 7.30am

Your responsibilities as our Care Support Assistant will include but is not limited to: Supporting our client with her high sensory needs, personal care and hygiene, meal preparation, accessing the community and maintaining the home environment
Skills and Experience required of our Care Support Assistant:
You are required to have good communication skills and have a desire to care for others. Possessing a UK full driving license would be advantageous

You are required to have good communication skills and have a desire to care for others. Possessing a UK full driving license and having some previous experience would be advantageous.
