Hollybank Trust is a charitable organisation, our therapy team provide therapy to around 100 adults living in our Care & Nursing Homes as well as to the young people and Children using our on-site school. All of the people who use our services have complex physical and associated learning disabilities.

The Physiotherapy Team is based at our main site in Mirfield, West Yorkshire and consists of Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team which includes Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Nurses, Enrichment & Social Care colleagues.

We have excellent facilities at our on-site Therapy Centre which include our excellent Therapy Unit with Trampoline, Hydrotherapy pool & Spa facilities.

As well as facilitating sessions within the Therapy Centre this role will include assessing for and reviewing specialist equipment to support posture and mobility, creating individual care plans and associated training for care staff.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated clinician to join and complement our professional and supportive team. You will receive support from the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist and a team of experienced colleagues. You will be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

We have a genuine commitment to training and development and post holders are expected to develop themselves professionally in line with both current and future service needs and requirements. The successful candidate will have access to regular supervision and be encouraged to participate in a variety of training and development opportunities including providing support for students.

In addition to our main site in Mirfield we also have 3 small Care Homes at locations in West & South Yorkshire which you will be required to visit occasionally therefore it is a requirement that the applicant holds a full driving licence and is a car driver.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• Recognised Physiotherapy degree or equivalent

Desirable

• Attendance in post-grad courses
• Professional member of The Charted Society of Physiotherapy

Experience

Essential

• Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience of working in a health and social care setting or education setting
• Minimum of 1 year post qualification experince of profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) or children with complex needs in a health and social care or education setting

Desirable

• Experience of assessing for and delivering Hydrotherapy and Rebound Therapy programmes

Professional Registrations

Essential

• HCPC Registration is an essential criteria for this role

Desirable

• Professional member of the Charted Society of Physiotherapy
