We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Clinical Psychologist (equivalent to Band 7) to join our expert multidisciplinary team at Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your specialist neuropsychology skills while making a real and lasting difference in people's lives.

What you'll be working:
Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.
The role:
This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a specialist neurorehabilitation setting, working with individuals recovering from complex neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, cerebral tumours, and stroke.
You will:

Provide specialist neuropsychological assessment and intervention for inpatients with a range of neurological presentations.

Develop, implement, and evaluate rehabilitation and condition management programmes tailored to patients with neuropsychological disorders.

Assess capacity for individual patients, offering expert advice to colleagues on psychological aspects of capacity and strategies to support informed decision-making.

Design and deliver psychological interventions to support patients experiencing emotional or adjustment difficulties.

Undertake and advise on risk assessment and risk management, ensuring psychological perspectives inform multidisciplinary practice.

Offer specialist consultation and guidance to other health professionals, contributing to patient formulation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment, formulation, and clinical interventions, while engaging in appropriate supervision and reflective practice.

Provide clear, compassionate verbal and written symptom management advice to patients, families, and carers.

Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping, including accurate electronic documentation, report writing, and adherence to BPS codes of practice and Active Care Group policies.

Promote safety and uphold human rights, ensuring individuals are protected from harm and supported with dignity and respect.
