Main duties of the job

We have a new and exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Compliance Lead. Working remotely, but with extensive travel to our services/divisions. This role will be responsible for conducting internal mock inspections and audits, ensuring that the standards set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) are achieved and met, providing mock inspection reports and ensuring services/divisions are inspection ready to achieve a Good or Outstanding. *** Experience within the domiciliary care/case management setting is advantageous ***

What you'll be working:

Below are our standard working hours but if you are looking for different working hours please feel free to talk to us and we will be as flexible we can around the needs of the role.

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9am - 5.30pm
  • 37.5 hrs per week

What you'll be doing:

  • Perform internal inspections to assess the quality of care, patient safety, and adherence to CQC regulations.
  • Identify areas where the service is not compliant with CQC standards and work with the service to agree the actions required and by when.
  • Follow up to ensure that corrective actions are implemented and effective.
  • Assist in preparing for external CQC inspections by reviewing services CQC Evidence Store to ensure all evidence is relevant, up to date and accurate.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues on CQC requirements and internal quality standards ensuring colleagues know how to answer questions posed to them.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality care within the service.
  • Keep detailed records of inspections, findings, and action plans.
  • Ensure that documentation is maintained properly for CQC inspection readiness.
  • Maintain compliance with and ensure they are up to date with CQC standards.
  • Adherence to all Group policies and procedures and ensuring that all colleagues in the service are aware of and understand company policies.
  • Ensure adherence to all Group Health and Safety protocols, carrying out own responsibilities as well as ensuring all colleagues have receive the relevant training.

What you'll have:.

  • In-depth knowledge of CQC standards and healthcare regulations.
  • A good understanding of how to translate regulatory standards and policy into appropriate operational actions.
  • Specific sector knowledge in social care, neuro, and/or mental health.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, senior management, and external inspectors.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of care.
  • Knowledge of data protection and patient confidentiality principles.
  • Healthcare-related qualifications such as Nursing, Therapy, or Social Care qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
