Main duties of the job
At Active Care Group, we believe in building brighter futures through outstanding, person-centred care. We're currently looking for a compassionate, proactive, and motivated Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at Chislehurst Neurological Rehabilitation Centre.
Our centre provides expert care and rehabilitation for individuals living with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and progressive neurological disorders.
As a Therapy Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping residents regain independence, improve quality of life, and achieve their personal goals. You'll work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists to support and deliver individualised treatment plans tailored to each persons unique needs.

What you'll be working:
This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing:
As a Therapy Assistant, you will:

Promote safety and protect the human rights of all residents in your care.

Carry out therapeutic assessments and deliver treatment programmes under the guidance of qualified therapists.

Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary and multi-agency team to support safe and timely discharges.

Provide resident-focused care that is safe, efficient, and aligned with both local and national standards.

Use your initiative while managing your caseload, keeping the supervising therapist informed as needed.

Conduct appropriate risk assessments of residents’ capabilities and environments prior to interventions.

Monitor and evaluate resident progress, making appropriate changes to treatment plans within your scope of practice.

Educate residents and families on the correct and safe use of equipment, with support from registered therapists when required.

Empower residents and families to engage in self-management and make informed decisions about their care.
