An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our therapy team at Nottingham Brain Injury and Neurological Care Centre. We are looking for a passionate and proactive Physiotherapy Assistant to assist in the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation under the guidance and supervision of qualified therapists.

Millwood - Slow Stream Rehabilitation

Fernwood - High Dependency Neurological Care and Rehabilitation

Hazlewood - Neuro Residential

What you'll be working:

This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support residents in their rehabilitation journey, enabling them to achieve their maximum independence.
  • Participate in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of care with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care and treatment plans.
  • Assist with therapeutic activities, including exercises and mobility programs, as directed by physiotherapists.
  • Facilitate communication and engagement in daily activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Undertake tasks such as clinical observations and activity support, ensuring competency and training requirements are met.
  • Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights

  • NVQ Level II (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.

Experience

  • At least one year of experience in one of the following areas: rehabilitation, physical disability, brain injury, neuro-disability, or mental health.
  • A passion for working with vulnerable adults and a commitment to improving their quality of life.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility, patience, and the ability to handle challenging situations with a calm demeanour.
