What you'll be working:
Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.
What you'll be doing:
- As Head of Therapies, you will report to the Service Manager and be responsible for the strategic and professional direction of Therapy Services. This involves delivery of all operational performance targets, ensuring all services are provided within the agreed level of activity, standards of performance, safety, quality, and budget
- You will be ultimately accountable for all Allied Health Professional Therapists, and Therapy Support Staff, and will directly manage the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language teams
- Work closely with and report directly to the Service Manager
- You will have an active clinical caseload
- Be an innovator, an educator, and a mentor, providing robust representation for therapy services within the Senior Management Team
- Carry out audit, policy, and service development and research activities and/or programmes. The post holder will also propose and implement policy and service development changes
- Be responsible for developing and implementing standards across Therapy Services, which support professional leadership, competence, capacity and standards of conduct
- Collaborating with senior management to define and implement new ways of working to maximise benefits, ensuring gains in both cost-effectiveness and clinical efficiency
