Main duties of the job
Meet our client:
Client is spinal cord injured living in the Lake District who requires assistance from two support workers. He enjoys going to the farmers auctions weekly and getting out into the community regularly.
When you'll be working:
Rolling rota 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off
Living in the clients home 24/7 when on shift
12 hourworking days
Working as a team of two (double up)
Zero hour contact with regular shifts as above

What you will be doing:
- This role is to support our male client with a spinal cord injury within his own home
- You will move into the client’s home and support him with personal care (including washing, dressing and toileting), moving and handling, domestic tasks and social activities
- Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events
- Follow the service user plan as documented for the client
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
- Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client

- Salary £138 up to £162 per day depending on UK experience and qualifications

- Previous experience of working with individuals with a spinal injury is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
