Neural Pathwayshas a unique opportunity a part time experienced Occupational Therapistwith a minimum of 3 years experience, to join our friendly and supportive team in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. We are looking for innovative and thoughtful therapists to work with an already experienced team to create and grow a dynamic neurological rehabilitation service. You should be motivated to work in all areas of rehab.AFull Driving Licence and Car are required.

Main duties of the job

We work with clients with a wide range of neurological conditions including: Acquired brain injury Spinal Cord Injury Stroke Neurological Degenerative conditions such as MND and MS Polytrauma clients to include orthopaedic injuries Upper and lower limb amputees

Job responsibilities

What you'll be working:

We can be flexible, but you will work a total of 22.5 hours per week.

We understand the need for a positive work, life balance and would be happy to discuss flexible / hybrid working for the right candidate

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide comprehensive assessment, advice, and treatment of clients following life changing catastrophic injury
  • Maintain a small independent caseload providing Occupational Therapy assessment and therapy for patients with complex rehabilitation needs
  • Provide Occupational Therapy as part of the multidisciplinary team, and be involved in interdisciplinary team service developments, meetings and audit as appropriate
  • Work to develop a neuro technology offering for our clients Engage with solicitors and case managers to monitor and track client progress and outcomes
  • Provide supervision, support and training to junior team members, Therapy Assistants and students as required
  • Maintain client records and collect activity data/statistics in accordance with company policy
  • Work in accordance with the HCPC professional practice, ensuring practice is evidence based and in line with national clinical standards
  • Maintain a professional development portfolio in line with HCPC registration requirements
  • Keep abreast of evidence-based practice in Occupational Therapy through relevant reading, attending in-service training and external courses
  • Be actively involved in research and/or audit activity as directed by the Senior Occupational Therapist

What you'll have:

  • A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist

  • Current registration with HCPC as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience of working within a Neurological Care and Rehabilitation setting would be an advantage.
