Main duties of the job

We have wonderful opportunities nationwide for self-employed expert witnesses to prepare quantum care / OT reports for medico-legal purposes in court. We are looking for an occupational therapist who is currently working as a clinical, rehabilitation brain injury case manager with extensive experience with polytraumas, spinal cord injury or acquired brain injury.

Job responsibilities

TBL are well known as the leader in the expert witness field regularly providing reports following both Claimant and Defendant instructions. To date we have prepared more than 2000 reports for the courts.

What you'll be working:

  • Flexitime
  • Predominantly working from home travel to and from assessments will be required

What you'll be doing:

  • Writing care/OT reports of the highest levels from detailed assessment, evaluations and forming opinions
  • Undertake detailed assessments of clients, reviewing medical/non-medical evidence
  • Review past care provided by family/friends and make recommendations for future care and case management
  • Recommend equipment required, providing all relevant costings
  • Any other relevant issues within your area of expertise to support the client
  • Be prepared to give evidence in court as / when required

  • Around 8 years post qualification experience as an OT
  • 5 years Complex Care experience
