Meet our amazing client:
I am a little girl looking for fun loving caring support staff to join my lovely team. I suffered a brain injury at birth. I am highly dependent, requiring full assistance with personal care and activities of daily living. I am Nil-By-Mouth and have a gastrostomy for all of my nutrition, medication and hydration needs. I have a permanent tracheostomy, which requires regular suctioning. I also have epilepsy which is controlled.
I attend specialist education and my support workers accompany me to school, and I get out and about in the community with my adapted vehicle, which I love. I live with my family in a rented accommodation in Cheshire, I will move to my forever home in the future.
I will eventually live at two locations as my parents will have shared custody of me. You will be required to work from both sites. I have a 24-hour care package required at a ratio of 2:1 during the day and 1:1 wake carer at night and I have 8 team members at the moment.
What you'll be working:
- Waking Night Shifts
- 24 hours per week
- 2 x 12 hour shifts - 8pm-8am
What you'll be doing:
-
Carers will be expected to cover all hours (24/7) in rotation and holidays and sickness periods of other care team members
-
Motivated and enthusiastic females are required, with a commitment to promoting and maintaining an independent lifestyle for an individual with complex care needs. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills while delivering care to an individual in their own/family home
-
Undertaking a range of duties to support the Client, you will work closely with other members of the team in providing the highest standards of health care
-
The post requires that you work independently and as part of a team, to a great extent. The post therefore requires that you work and conduct yourself in a manner that is acceptable to the employer. Reliability, integrity and complete trustworthiness are essential attributes in this post.
