Main duties of the job

We'dlike you to join us as a Consultant Psychiatrist for one day a week (8 hours)at Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centrein Wishaw, North Lanarkshire. Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre offers rehabilitation, care and support to people over the age of 16 years with a brain injury or other neurological condition, helping every person they supportto feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.

Job description

Job responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Take accountability for a clinical case load.
  • The post holder will be responsible for the clinical management of patients under their care, and, in liaison with consultant colleagues, continuity of care when the post holder is absent.

What you'll have:

  • The post holder must be fully registered with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice, have approved Section 12 and Approved Clinician status, and is advised to maintain up to date membership of a recognised medical defence organisation.

We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions. To support this, we are a Disability Confident committed employer.
