Job summary

This role involves providing high-quality personal care and support to residents in a senior care assistant position at Lady Jane Court Care Home in Leicester. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring residents' wellbeing, implementing and evaluating care plans, supporting medication requirements, and supervising and developing care staff. The role requires an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care, at least 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Main duties of the job

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals.
