Job summary

The Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator role at Avery Healthcare's Bridge Manor Care Home in Wolverhampton focuses on providing a wide range of engaging and stimulating activities to promote the physical, psychological, and social wellbeing of the residents. The successful candidate will have experience working with older people in a residential or nursing dementia setting, organising activities and events, and demonstrating excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job

As the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, your primary focus will be to provide a variety of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social wellbeing. You will also understand the need to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents. Other responsibilities include identifying residents' life histories, needs, and preferences, planning and submitting monthly activity and wellbeing plans, arranging activities and events, and maintaining a safe living and working environment.

  • Planning and submitting to the Home Manager- a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
  • Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
  • Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
