Job summary

This is a role for a Registered Nurse to work nights at Avery Healthcare's Hampstead Court Care Home in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents, acting as the person in charge during night shifts, and supervising the care team to ensure all tasks are completed.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare's Hampstead Court Care Home in London, you will be responsible for undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterization, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions. You will also be required to advise families and GPs of any changes in residents' conditions, effectively deploy and supervise the care team, and provide high-quality care through accurate assessment and planning.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asa Registered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
  • Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
  • Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
