This is a role as a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with the company's procedures, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials, and ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained. You will also be required to treat residents with dignity and respect, and to protect their personal space and belongings. The role requires knowledge of health and safety, particularly in areas such as moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments, as well as experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting. The successful candidate must also demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services to the residents.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
