Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Lead, your focus will be on monitoring the wellbeing of residents, acting as a focal point for communication with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals, preparing staff rotas, and advising on the supply and quality of items used in care. You will be responsible for providing a supportive, honest, and accountable approach to care, with a positive attitude towards staff development and enhancing the care of residents.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Clinical Lead will be to support the Home Manager across all aspects of Home Management, providing a safe, caring, stimulating and homely environment for residents and their visitors.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Being responsible for monitoring the state of wellbeing of each resident whilst being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
  • Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing.
  • Preparing the staff duty rota to always ensure appropriate staffing levels whilst also being responsible for appraising staff.
  • Advising on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring the timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.

  • Hold a current NMC registration.
  • Have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.

  • Have a positive attitude to developing staff and enhancing care of the residents.
