Job summary

This role involves maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents and team members, ensuring the smooth running of the facilities and maintaining a good standard of general upkeep for the building. The Maintenance Coordinator will have a solid understanding of building systems and related regulatory requirements, and will be responsible for resolving any maintenance concerns promptly.

Main duties of the job

As a Maintenance Coordinator at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents and team members. Your focus will be on ensuring the smooth running of the facilities and maintaining a good standard of general upkeep for the building. This will involve resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly, engaging with approved contractors as needed, and covering all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems contained within the building. You may also have direct line management of a Maintenance Assistant, which includes day-to-day supervision, objective setting, annual reviews, and holiday authorisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asaMaintenance Coordinator will be to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and team members, ensuring the smooth running of the facilities, whilst maintaining a good standard of general upkeep for the building.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly. This isaccomplishedwitha working knowledge of building systems and related regulatory requirements. These systems include plumbing,heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, equipment repairs,and interior/exterior finishes.
  • Engaging with approved contractors as and whenrequiredand sourcing alternative suppliers as and whenneeded.
  • Covering all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems contained within the building.
  • Where applicable, the Maintenance Coordinator will have direct line management of the Maintenance Assistant, which includes day-to-daysupervision, objective setting and annual reviews, approval of hours, absence management and holiday authorisation.
