Job summary

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, committed to creating meaningful experiences for their residents and team members. They are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Registered Nurse to join their award-winning team in Corby.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act upon their behalf. You will ensure high standards of care for the residents, undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions. You will also be responsible for advising families and GPs of any changes in resident conditions, as well as effectively deploying and supervising the care team.

  • Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
  • Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
