Job summary

This is a temporary Housekeeping Assistant role with Avery Healthcare in Droitwich Spa. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry in the care home, while treating residents with dignity and respect. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and laundry in a public setting, as well as knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with the instructions, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, and ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. You will also need to demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services to the residents, while respecting their personal space and belongings.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
