Job summary
The role of Sous Chef at Avery Healthcare in Winchester is to support the Head Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality culinary service to the residents. The Sous Chef will be responsible for preparing modified diets, supervising and directing the work of culinary staff, and ensuring that all food preparation meets the highest hygiene standards.
Main duties of the job
As a Sous Chef, your primary focus will be to support the Head Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality culinary service to the residents. You will be responsible for preparing modified diets that look appealing and are well-balanced, supervising and directing the work of culinary staff, and ensuring that all food preparation meets the highest hygiene standards. You will also be required to support the culinary team in understanding the Avery Food safety management system.
