Job summary

This role of Sous Chef at Avery Healthcare in Marlow offers a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join an award-winning team. As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in providing a high-quality culinary service that contributes to the overall well-being of the residents. With a focus on preparing nutritionally balanced and appealing meals, you will also be responsible for supervising and training the culinary staff.

Main duties of the job

Your focus as Sous Chef will be to support the head chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality culinary service, which contributes to the overall well-being of the residents and is achieved within budget. Other responsibilities will include preparing modified diets that look appealing and are well-balanced, supervising and directing the work of culinary staff, understanding the principles of safe food handling, and supporting the team in fully understanding the Avery Food safety management system.

  • Understandingthe principles of safe food handling to ensure that all food preparation undertaken in the kitchen meets the highest hygiene standards.
  • Supportingall culinary team members in fullyunderstandingthe Avery Food safety management system.
