The role focuses on ensuring the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks and basic repairs to keep the facilities fully functional.

Main duties of the job

As a Maintenance Operative, your focus will be to ensure the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services, and applying basic fixes to equipment and systems. Other responsibilities will include carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs, supporting new residents to arrange their rooms, undertaking routine re-decoration, advising on supply and quality of items, and providing out of hours emergency service.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Advisingon the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring thetimelyandappropriate orderingof replacement goods.
  • Providingout of hours emergency service,participatingin the on-call rota.

  • Have a minimum of one years experience in a general maintenance or handy person role and/or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
  • Hold a full driving licence.

  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
