Job summary

This is a temporary Housekeeping Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with instructions, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials, and ensuring that residents' personal spaces and belongings are always respected. You will need knowledge of health and safety, particularly in areas like moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments. Previous experience in cleaning and laundry in a public setting, as well as demonstrating compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality service, are also required.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home.You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
