Main duties of the job

As a Unit Manager - Clinical, your focus will be on leading a team of nurses, senior carers, and carers to provide staff support, enhance residents' quality of life through effective care planning, and manage medication systems. You will work closely with the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the unit.

  • Enhancing and promoting the resident's quality of life through effective care planning.
  • Managing and participating in the rota to ensure that senior care and care support are always available and that the your unit is covered appropriately.
  • Supporting the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in managing the medication systems and ordering and distributing prescribed medication to residents.

  • An active NMC PIN.
  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
