Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include carrying out all cleaning duties, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials, and ensuring that residents' personal spaces are respected. You will operate according to the company's standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, maintaining hotel-like service standards. Additionally, you will need to have knowledge of health and safety, particularly in areas such as moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments. The role also requires experience in cleaning laundry in a public setting and the ability to be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
