Job summary

They are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join their award-winning team as an Activities Driver, providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities while ensuring quality service.

Main duties of the job

As an Activities Driver, your focus will be on providing transportation services for residents, assisting them with any special needs during transportation, and performing miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed. You will be required to have a PCV license with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record, as well as attend periodic Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training. You must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions, be able to react calmly in emergencies, and be considerate in your interactions with residents.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Activities Driver will be providing safe, timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities while providing quality service.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Providing transportation services for residents.
  • Assisting residents with any special needs during transportation, such as carrying packages, opening doors, assisting residents onto and out of the vehicle, and assisting residents to the point of destination required.
  • Always focusing on driving; directs tasks and passenger interactions to onboard support staff while the vehicle is in motion.
  • Providing miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed.
