Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Key responsibilities include monitoring resident wellbeing, implementing and evaluating person-centered care plans, supporting medication requirements, supervising staff, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, families, and professionals.

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
