Job summary

Main duties of the job

As the General Manager, your focus will be on ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, recruiting and developing staff, acting as a point of contact for residents, their families, and healthcare professionals, maintaining safe staffing levels, providing inspirational leadership, and managing costs within budgetary controls.   • Ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care, person centred care and ensuring residents receive care based on best practice.
  • Being responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
  • Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in residents wellbeing.
  • Ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with both occupancy and dependency.
  • Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls, by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.
