Job summary

This role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare's Aldridge Care Home in Erdington Rd, Aldridge, West Mids presents an opportunity to join a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated team. Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be expected to monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be involved in person-centred care planning, support residents with medication requirements, and undertake staff supervisions. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and health/social care professionals.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
