Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will work as part of a team to ensure all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home, operating according to Avery Healthcare's standard operating procedures. Your responsibilities will include carrying out cleaning duties, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials, and ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect. Your focus as Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home.You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials,ensuringthat all areas are well presented andmaintainedin good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
