Job summary

The role of a Support Worker at Enable involves providing person-centred care and support to individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions. Main duties of the job

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for encouraging the individuals you support to actively participate in their local communities, promoting independence. You will assist with activities of daily living, social activities, personal care, meal preparation, and budgeting. Effective communication, engagement, and positive behavioural support approaches are essential. Additionally, you will be required to maintain accurate records and report any changes in the health or circumstances of the service users to the management team.

You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.

Where youll be working:

We are looking for Support Workers to work in our services across; Rainham, Rochester, Gillingham in Kent.

We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
  • 12 months Experience in Support Work

Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Engaging- promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording- keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
