Job summary
This role involves providing support to young individuals with complex support needs, including those with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health challenges. The job requires enthusiasm, excellent people skills, and a positive, proactive approach to supporting individuals to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.
Main duties of the job
The Support Worker will be responsible for encouraging individuals to play active roles in their communities, supporting activities of daily living, effective communication, promoting and motivating individuals to enhance their quality of life, and providing positive behavioral support approaches. They will also be required to keep accurate records and report any changes in the health or circumstances of the service users to management.
