Job summary

This is an exciting role within the People Analytics team which is focused on bringing together existing datasets and investigating people issues to inform decision-making, and acts as a centre of expertise on the use and presentation of people-related data.

The People Data Analyst will be responsible for running and building reports that explore a range of workforce, financial and people data insights. They will bring together multiple data sources to reveal patterns and correlations, allow workforce challenges to be addressed. The post holder will deliver actionable insights from the organisation's existing people data sources, using curiosity, creativity and experience to provide observations which are accurate, relevant and clearly communicated.

Main duties of the job

  • Establishing relationships with key stakeholders including HR, finance, strategy, workforce and business planning colleagues to understand the current sources of workforce data and information available, and how these can be effectively combined.
  • Running and building reports and enquiries on a range of workforce, financial and people data.
  • Bringing together multiple data sources (including a mixture of quantitative and qualitative data) to reveal patterns and correlations.
  • Using a range of analytical tools (predominantly within Excel) to investigate workforce issues, trends and opportunities.
  • Producing clear presentations of workforce insights generated.
  • Building and maintaining a suite of models- a central repository of insight and information to be used across the group.
  • Acting as centre of expertise on use and presentation of people datasets, providing advice and direction to other teams as needed.
  • Keep up to date with new techniques and approaches to manipulation and presentation of people datasets.
  • Identify, discuss and action own professional performance and training / development needs with your line manager through appraisal / individual development plan. Attending internal / external training events
  • To participate in all mandatory training as required
