Job summary
We are seeking to recruit an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Business Support Manager to lead the busy Greater Manchester Business Support Team (GM BST). We are looking for someone to work collaboratively with the region's Operations Management Team whilst managing the GM BST, including line management responsibilities.
Main duties of the job
The Business Support Manager will report to a Business Operations Manager, it is a senior post with line-management responsibilities. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team supporting the team to deliver a comprehensive, efficient, customer-focused administrative service.
You will lead on multiple business support functions, implementing and maintaining processes that include HR, IT, finance, Information Governance, Health & Safety, business continuity, accommodation. Developing good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is an expectation of the role.
This is a diverse role involving undertaking secretariat functions, administering meetings, producing reports for senior staff or meetings. The ability to work autonomously, to tight timescales, be able to organise a varied and busy workload, for themselves and the Business Support Team, lead a team effectively, manage team dynamics, have advanced knowledge of using Microsoft Office packages and experience using MS Teams is required.
Experience in line management or leadership / supervision is essential to this role as well as proven administration and organisational skills.
You will have experience supporting senior staff, event planning, implementing and maintaining office systems, and health and safety practice. As well as leading and supporting specific projects, managing their own workload, be highly motivated and flexible.

Selection Process Details:
This vacancy will be assessed using a competency-based framework which will assess your Qualifications, knowledge and experience and / or skills and abilities outlined in the essential criteria.
Stage 1: Application & Sift (competency based)
