Job summary
To provide support to VRD reporting to the RVU clinical lead. The clinical fellow role is responsible for providing clinical support to questions posed to VRD. This may involve undertaking literature searches to respond to scientific questions that require an evidence base and provide support to the laboratory.
Main duties of the job
o Provide clinical advice on virological matters relating to respiratory viral infections and general clinical virologyo Interpretation and reporting of virological laboratory resultso Evidence synthesis from UKHSA laboratory data and literature reviewo Writing of position papers, briefing notes, and scientific reports for diverse audienceso Contribution to clinical field studies and laboratory projects, e.g. protocol development, to address key evidence gapso Data analysis from laboratory studieso Respond to Scientific questions/parliamentary questions/FOIs that require medical knowledge and evidence base analysis
