Job summary
This role will be working on the world-leading SARS-CoV-2 Immunity & Reinfection EvaluatioN (SIREN) study, focused on increasing understanding of whether individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 are protected from future SARS-CoV-2 infection. Since its inception, the SIREN study has answered and will continue to answer the most important questions about COVID-19 infection, reinfection and antibodies, in addition, to other respiratory illnesses. This is a high-profile study with multiple deliverables and collaborations.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a core team of individuals tasked with running one of the largest cohort studies of Health care workers in the world. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain experience in stakeholder engagement, writing reports and leading national webinars. The SIREN study team sit within the HCAI, Fungal, AMR, AMU & Sepsis Division of UKHSA
Main duties of the job
The main duties and responsibilities are:
- Clinical and research support to deliver SIREN
- Acting as a regional lead to support NHS Trusts in the delivery of SIREN
- Preparation of policy and strategy documents, briefings and presentationsLogistical support and problem-solving within SIRENInput into clinical reporting algorithms
- Contribution to research papers where appropriate
- Attendance at weekly operational meetings to optimise retention of participants
- Interact with different team members to ensure data quality

It will include the objectives for the placement and the output and timescales expected for any projects.
