We currently have an exciting opportunity to join out Quality and Clinical Governance team as a Data Analyst. The post holder will provide high quality support to the team within the Health Equity & Clinical Governance Directorate of UKHSA. The Health Equity and Clinical Governance Directorate comprises of 4 divisional areas; Health Equity & Inclusion Health, Clinical Governance & Medical Revalidation, Public Health Clinical Response and Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals.

The post holder will coordinate all key performance indicator (KPI) data feeds and insights into an HPG&Q dashboard and performance report. This work involves supporting and guiding HP Data Analysts across UKHSA to articulate their performance. It will also involve the further development of the HPG&Q dashboard, performance report and KPIs. There will also be opportunities to present performance findings to a range of Boards and senior colleagues.

Main duties of the job

  • Take responsibility for co-ordinating the operational delivery of the Health Protection (HP) performance dashboard for UKHSA, advising the HP leads on KPIs and performance reporting
  • Provide operational feedback to the HP Performance Programme Manager to support development of long-term strategies to establish, maintain high quality standards and drive processes for HP performance management.
  • Take responsibility for overall data management
  • Provide expertise and guidance for Senior Data Analysts in other HP teams on complex cases, liaising with stakeholders as necessary, and on more complex requests for data interpretation and presentation.
  • Obtain, validate, analyse and interpret data on HP Quality from multiple sources.
  • Present data on HP Quality for different audiences and purposes
  • Build strong, multi-disciplinary relationships with HP Leads and teams
  • Support implementation and maintenance of a secure and robust Information Governance framework for the HP PowerBI dashboard, advising others of any issues or risks.
  • Oversee the work of HP data administrator partners, setting priorities and allocating work to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Act as lead operational expert on performance reporting within the HP arena
  • Develop and maintain accurate, in-depth working knowledge of HP performance and KPIs and be prepared to advise on it.

Selection process details

STAGE 1 - APPLICATION & SIFT:

STAGE 2 INTERVIEW

This competition will involve an interview by video.

As part of the process, candidates will be invited to interview which will involve an in-depth discussion of your previous experience and professional competence in relation to the criteria set out in the Person Specification. Candidates will also be asked to participate in a session where they will be required to prepare and deliver a 5-minute presentation to the panel. This will be followed by a question-and-answer segment. The presentation will be designed to assess each candidates experience in line with the requirements of the role.
