Location
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) offers hybrid working. UKHSA have office locations across the UK.
This role can be based at one of our UKHSA offices/locations (Leeds, Manchester, Totnes, London, Horsham, Cardiff, Bristol, Nottingham, Harlow, Liverpool, Fareham, Gloucester, Newcastle and Birmingham) with opportunities for home working. You will be asked to express a location preference during the application process. The balance between home and workplace working is to be agreed with the line manager, determined primarily by business needs and in line with departmental policy.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior HR Caseworker, you will be responsible for providing specialist HR advice and support to managers and employees by managing a mixed caseload of routine and complex HR cases and ensuring that all cases are progressed appropriately. You will support the Case Management Lead in ensuring that the case work team are providing a consistent and quality service across the UKHSA. We are currently recruiting to two posts.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage a portfolio of HR cases where intervention is required. (Attendance, conduct and discipline, grievances, performance and employment tribunals).
- Identify reputational, legal and financial risks to the UKHSA and ensure these are recorded and escalated to the Case Management Lead.
- Actively support project work which develops the HR casework service and employee relations model as required by the Case Management Lead or Head of Employee Relations & HR Casework.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service ethos focussing on continuous improvement and building and maintaining excellent relationships with line managers and other People Group professionals.
- Manage caseload to specified deadlines and performance standards and provide support to HR Caseworkers
