Location
Main location is Canary Wharf, London, but this vacancy can be worked from any UKHSA location.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) offers hybrid working - this means that whilst the role will be based in one of our offices, there will be opportunities for an element of working from home. UKHSA have office locations across the UK.
This role can be based at one of our UKHSA offices/locations (Leeds, Manchester, Totnes, London, Horsham, Cardiff, Bristol, Nottingham, Harlow, Liverpool, Fareham, Gloucester, Newcastle and Birmingham) with opportunities for an element of working from home. You will be asked to express a location preference during the application process.
The balance between home and workplace working is to be agreed with the line manager, determined primarily by business needs and in line with departmental policy.
*Please be aware that this role can only be worked from within the UK and not overseas. Relocation expenses are not available.*
Main duties of the job
The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:
- Drive the gathering of business and user requirements, assisting with the development of a traceability matrix.
- Use a range of tools to map As-Is and To-Be business processes.
- Produce a gap analysis against present state and target state and identify opportunities.
- Identify the potential consequences of a change by producing an impact analysis and estimate what needs to be modified.
- Identify and collaborate with stakeholders working with them to identify their needs, ensuring business needs and solutions are delivered to recognised methodologies.
- Ensure business needs are translated into solutions within agreed timelines and work with technical leads to ensure technical solutions are aligned.
- Apply audit test and quality gates using the appropriate methodology, ensuring delivery of change has a fully auditable process.

- Coordinate the work of business improvement to ensure defined project benefits are delivered.
- Engage with policy and strategy to ensure business systems, workflows and processes align to the target operating model.
