Truly dynamic, they operate at significant pace in a commercially complex environment to procure an unprecedented range of goods and services in a highly competitive global market. We are extremely proud of their work - the activity that the Commercial team led was essential to the progress made in fighting COVID-19. Our Commercial teams took leading roles in standing up the testing infrastructure, procuring test kits and negotiating and managing highly complex logistics contracts.
As the organisation evolves, UKHSA's Commercial team will continue to play a central role in priority activity - continuing the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and building on the legacy of the COVID-19 response to ensure a resilient and scalable infrastructure to secure the UK in the strongest position to protect the public from future threats to health.
This position sits within the Commercial Operations & Engagement team, the team that are at the heart of ensuring that the Commercial function operates to the best of it's ability.
Main duties of the job
The role will include but not be limited to:
- Support the Commercial Change and Project Management Lead with the developing and delivering the UKHSA Commercial Change and Continuous Improvement Strategy.
- Support and deliver a Continuous Improvement Strategy including the facilitation of problem-solving and CI events, content development and evaluation.
- Develop and proactively manage work plans
- Build and develop relationships with a range of stakeholders to maximise opportunities to collaborate, achieve efficiency and improve capability
- When necessary, attend meetings and act as a representative for Commercial Change & Engagement team.
- Maintain awareness of UKHSA change initiatives and ensure alignment
- Work within or across functional change and project management teams to develop and deliver change programmes
- Build strong relationships across UKHSA and other government departments and agencies
- Help to analyse the impact and effectiveness of Change Delivery and Continuous Improvement activity undertaken and be able to interpret findings and apply actionable insight.
