Locations:
East of England Centre headquarters is Fulborn, Cambridgeshire.
The post holder will be the main contact and cover the following ICS areas:-
West, Mid and South Essex ICS,
Suffolk, North East Essex ICS and
Norfolk and Waveney ICS
Main duties of the job
As well as covering and being the main contact for at least 3 ICSs (as noted above) the successful post holder will work as part of a dental public health team with another EoE Consultant in Dental Public Health and analyst to cover the other ICS systems in the region as required for region wide work.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and effective Consultant in Dental Public Health. The successful individual will join a dedicated and committed healthcare public health team and will bring professional credibility and robust leadership to engage, support, develop and deliver the dental public health offer to the NHS and Local Government. They will work with partners to reduce health inequalities, and improve oral health, and oral health services across the East of England. There will be opportunities to contribute to National work programmes and develop academic links.

- Full registration with the UK General Dental Council (GDC)
- On the GDC Specialist List or within 6 months of eligibility for inclusion
- Master's Degree in Dental Public Health, MPH or equivalent
- Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exit Examination in Dental Public Health or equivalent (see footnotes)
- Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or within 6 months of eligibility for a CCST in Dental Public Health
Desirable
- Fellowship in Dental Surgery or Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, or equivalent
Knowledge and experience

- Successful completion of a SAC-approved 4 year minimum training programme in Dental Public Health (3 years if in possession of a SAC-approved Masters qualification) or within 6 months of completion or equivalent
- Experience of post-graduate and undergraduate teaching and training at an appropriate level
- Effective participation in audit
- Able to prioritise and deliver high quality work against a background of change and uncertainty
- Experience of achieving innovation and change
