The Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) is looking to appoint one Lay member to the Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Renal, Respiratory and Allergy Expert Advisory Group (CDRRA EAG).
The CDRRA EAG provides advice to the Licensing Authority and the Commission on Human Medicines on the safety and efficacy of medicines used for the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, renal or respiratory diseases, or allergy.

Main duties of the job
The main role of the Lay Member is to ensure that the perspective of patients, carers and the general public are represented and considered in all aspects of the committees work. Our lay members come from a variety of different backgrounds and generally will not be an expert in a field of relevance to the EAG in which they are a member.
